Introduction

Gordon's School has its own heated indoor swimming pool which Ollie Otters Swim School is able to use to run its teaching sessions

The Gordon's School is a secular voluntary aided school and makes boarding provision for about a quarter of its pupils. It was originally opened in 1885 as a boys' home to act as a national memorial to General Gordon of Khartoum. The school later became a boys' boarding school and then took in day pupils, and more recently girls as well.

Directions

• From the A322 Guildford Road / Red Road roundabout in Lightwater, take the A319 Bagshot Road (signposted for Chobham).
• After a short distance, you pass under a footbridge over the road.
• Immediately after this footbridge over the road, turn right into Gordon's School and follow the parking instructions.
• Please also note the speed limit of 5mph inside the Gordon's School grounds, and that anyone travelling faster could have their child's lessons revoked.
• If there are events taking place in Gordon's School, then instead of turning right into the school entrance, TURN LEFT opposite the school entrance, park in the additional car park, and use the footbridge to walk to the pool, following the instructions for additional parking restrictions at Gordon's.
