This is the 2nd swim that Gill and I have organised.
You may remember the one in September 2002 when we raised enough money to enable a local child to go to the Dolphin Human Therapy Centre in Florida for 2 weeks and a week with Mickey Mouse.
Sadly in the last four years, both Gill and I now have personal reasons for wishing to raise as much money as possible for cancer related charities. Ollie Otters and Waitrose are again joining forces to swim a marathon. Ollie Otters will be represented by four of its teachers and friends. Waitrose are being represented by swimmers from branches at Goldsworth Park, Sunningdale, Frimley, Fulham, Weybridge, its Bracknell HQ and Dorset.
In this day and age we appreciate that so many charities would like you to donate to them…..However, cancer WILL touch us all at some point in our lives, be it us or our loved ones. In the fight against cancer what we are doing is very simple, we are giving an hour to swim a mile and all we ask of you is to dig deep with your donations. Any amount from 20p to £XXXXXXXX gratefully accepted!
